Artyom Timofeev and Jan Gustafsson leading at Bosna Open

10 rounds on 5-14 May, 3-1-0 scoring system, EUR 109.800 prize fund

The sixth round of the International Chess Tournament Bosna 2010 has just concluded and the players with White pieces scored victories on the top three boards. GM Artyom Timofeev and GM Jan Gustafsson defeated lower rated opposition and singled out on the top of the crosstable with 16 points each (scoring system 3-1-0 is in power).

The top seed, GM Hao Wang of China, quickly compensated for the third round setback and after three straight wins is already alone on the third place.

Indian GM Geetha Narayanan Gopal (4 wins, 2 draws) is on the fourth with 14 points. In the “ordinary” scoring system, he would have been tied with Wang (5 wins, 1 loss) on 5.0 points each, but Bosna Open encourages players to win games and thus Wang is one point ahead.
