FIDE Women’s Grand Prix in Doha

Elina Danielan still leading after round seven

Elina Danielan continues to dominate the final FIDE Women Grand Prix in Qatar, having beaten another former champion Zhu Chen, and with a short break in round six to draw her compatriot Lilit Mkrtchian, she is now topping the standings with 6.5 points from seven games.

French GM Marie Sebag is trying to follow the pace with two straight victories, but is still point and a half behind Danielan. All round seven matches finished in decisive results, with the game between Stefanova and Dzagnidze being particularly interesting as black won beautifully after only 18 moves.

Three former World Champions are knocked to the bottom of the rankings with only 2 points each. Daily LIVE games with computer analysis.
