Politiken Cup 2008 is going to be one of the largest and strongest tournaments this summer. The event has close to 300 confirmed players, and the top 10 seeded average is 2646 ! The highest rated GM Pavel Eljanov is one of the newest members of the Live Top List, while GM Malakhov, GM Roiz, GM Peter Heine Nielsen, and GM Tiviakov are on their way to enter the 2700 club as well.
If you plan to play chess and travel, Politiken Cup 2008 is probably the best place for you. A large field of almost 300 players of different strengths guarantees a perfect setup for a strong and balanced tournament.
