Russian Superfinal – Round Six

Svidler leading, Vitiugov now on second place

Nikita Vitiugov beat the then-second placed Alexander Lastin in the 5th round of the Russian Superfinal Championship to take over his position on the crosstable. Timofeev, Morozevich and Alekseev were also successful in the same round. The 6th round saw all games drawn and the standings remained the same.
